These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Against The Grain Golf League website, WhatsApp community, GameBot services, events, and related communications (collectively, the “Services”). “ATG,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Against The Grain Golf League.
By accessing or using the Services, joining an ATG event, or participating in an ATG communication channel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. You are responsible for providing accurate registration and contact information.
ATG is a golf community that helps players learn about and participate in organized golf games, leagues, and tournaments. ATG is not a golf course, transportation provider, insurer, professional tour, or governing body.
Golf courses and other third parties operate independently from ATG and may impose their own rules, charges, waivers, dress codes, cancellation terms, and eligibility requirements.
Event listings, player limits, tee times, formats, prices, availability, and other details change weekly. A registration request does not guarantee a place in an event. Participation is confirmed only when ATG communicates that the player is confirmed in WhatsApp.
When an event is full, additional players may be placed on a standby list. ATG may modify groups, tee times, formats, player limits, or event details when reasonably necessary.
Players are responsible for all applicable course fees, taxes, entry fees, optional contest contributions, and other disclosed charges. Unless ATG expressly states otherwise, payments made directly to golf courses or other third parties are governed by those parties’ policies.
Players should promptly notify ATG if they cannot attend in our WhatsApp chat. Repeated no-shows, late cancellations, or unpaid obligations will result in removal from golf league.
Weather, course conditions, insufficient participation, or circumstances outside ATG’s control may require an event to be changed, postponed, or canceled.
Players agree to:
ATG may remove a player from an event or the community when ATG reasonably believes the player’s conduct threatens safety, fairness, operations, or the experience of other members.
Any skins game, side bet, or other player-to-player contest is voluntary unless clearly disclosed otherwise before participation. Each participant is responsible for determining whether participation is lawful and appropriate.
ATG does not guarantee the outcome, enforceability, collection, payment, or settlement of any player-to-player arrangement. Our GameBot may record or display communications and participation information for administrative convenience, but such records do not constitute legal, financial, or wagering advice.
ATG may restrict or discontinue contest-related features at any time. Players must not use the Services for unlawful gambling, bookmaking, fraud, money laundering, or any other prohibited activity.
Golf and related activities involve inherent risks, including errant shots, slips and falls, equipment-related injuries, weather exposure, lightning, heat, wildlife, golf-cart accidents, and the acts of other participants.
To the extent permitted by law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with participating in ATG events. You are responsible for determining whether you are physically able to participate and for obtaining appropriate medical advice when needed.
ATG does not provide medical services. In an emergency, contact 911 or appropriate emergency personnel. Players must follow weather warnings, course closures, evacuation instructions, and other safety directions.
By providing your contact information, you may receive event-related emails or WhatsApp messages. If you separately check the optional SMS consent box, you may receive standby-to-playing notifications by SMS. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. SMS consent is not a condition of joining or participating. Communication preferences and opt-out rights are described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for activity associated with your phone number and for keeping your devices secure. Do not impersonate another player, submit unauthorized commands, interfere with GameBot, attempt to access private systems, or misuse another person’s information.
Automated confirmations and calculations may occasionally contain errors. Notify ATG if you believe player status, scores, handicaps, payments, or other records are incorrect.
ATG may link to or rely on golf courses, messaging platforms, scoring apps, weather providers, social networks, and other third-party services. ATG does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.
ATG’s website content, branding, graphics, software, and original materials are owned by or licensed to ATG and may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used commercially without permission.
By submitting photos, scores, event results, or other content to ATG, you confirm that you have the right to share it and grant ATG a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for operating and promoting the community. You may request that ATG stop using a submitted photo in future materials by contacting us.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, ATG disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and noninfringement.
ATG does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free GameBot operation, event availability, weather conditions, course conditions, player conduct, or any particular result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATG and its organizers, volunteers, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the Services or participation in an event.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ATG and its organizers, volunteers, and representatives from third-party claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
ATG may suspend or terminate access to the Services, remove a participant from an event, or restrict future participation for violations of these Terms, unsafe behavior, nonpayment, abuse, fraud, or conduct harmful to the community.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Palm Beach County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
ATG may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
